I Am a Big Fan of Three Little Pigs BBQ Rub and Sauce!

I was at Ace Hardware the other day and saw that they had some new barbecue products in stock.  Specifically they had barbecue rubs and sauces form Three Little Pigs BBQ and I wanted to give them a try!

I used the Touch of Cherry dry rub along with the Kansas City Sweet BBQ Sauce to make a batch of Pork Butt Burnt Ends and can confirm that these products are great with pork!

Three Little Pigs Sauce and Rub

Touch of Cherry Dry Rub

I started the batch of burnt ends by cubing up about three pounds of boneless country style ribs that had been cut from a pork butt.

The cubed pork got seasoned liberally with Three Little Pigs Touch of Cherry BBQ Rub.  This rub is a delightful sweet and flavorful blend of flavors that features brown sugar, salt, garlic, onion, chili pepper, paprika and natural flavors including cherry and mesquite smoke.

There is a LOT going on with this rub and the flavors are great!

I got the meat cubes onto my pellet grill and smoked them at 250F for two and a half hours.

The rub gave the pork some beautiful color as it set up in the smoker.

Three Little Pigs Kansas City Sweet BBQ Sauce

After the burnt ends had taken up some smoke I placed them is a pan and coated them with Three Little Pigs Kansas City Sweet BBQ Sauce.

This is a rich sauce full of brown sugar, molasses, tomatoes and vinegar that is just as tasty as the Touch of Cherry dry rub!

The pan went back on the smoker and the temperature got raised to 275F.

After two hours of letting the burnt ends simmer in the sauce I pulled them from the pit and dug in!

Finished Pork Butt Burnt Ends

Yes, yes, I realize that “real” burnt ends are made from the point of a smoked brisket but I am going to call these burnt ends almost as good as the real deal!

A pork butt has plenty of internal marbling so it can be just as succulent as a brisket.

The combination of Three Little Pigs Touch of Cherry along with the Kansas City Sweet Sauce is a winner when it comes to pork.  I would not hesitate to use this combo on pork chops or pork tenderloin.  I suspect it would also be perfect for getting some great flavors into some chicken breasts as well.

If you see some of the Three Little Pigs products next time you are at Ace Hardware or Lowes then don’t hesitate to pick some up!
