This is an absolutely delightful green hot sauce! The jalapeno and habanero peppers pack some serious heat that lit my mouth up.
On a spiciness level I would rate this as a 6.5 out of 10. After I wrote this I saw that Trader Joe’s rates this as a 7 out of 10 so it looks like we are all on the same page.
The Green Dragon Sauce is just spicy enough to add some zip and zing but not so much as to burn your taste buds off. The tomatillos, sugar, vinegar and cilantro add layers of flavor so this sauce is much more than “heat”.
