The Primal Kitchen Buffalo Sauce at Costco is Amazing!

Costco sells the Buffalo Sauce from Primal Kitchen and I am a massive fan. I am pretty sure that the Buffalo sauce is a seasonal item because I can only find it at my Costco for about half of the year.

When I first saw the sauce I was concerned because Primal Kitchen replaces the butter normally found in this style of sauce with cashew butter.  It turns out that using cashew butter was a genius move as this is one of the best store bought Buffalo sauces that I have tried.

This product is not labelled as Organic or Vegan, however, the company website does list this sauce as Vegan.

Taste Test!

This sauce was great but I had a bit of a failure!

My grocery store has been out of chicken wings for a week and I ended up testing this sauce on some breaded chicken breast bites.  What is the world coming to when you can’t find any chicken wings???

This Buffalo sauce was absolutely delicious.  The sauce has:

  • Perfect consistency to stick to the chicken.
  • Beautiful color.
  • Wonderful flavor with plenty of heat.

The sauce is just as good, or better, than all of the other commercial Buffalo sauces I have tried over the years.

The creamy cashew butter does an excellent job of replacing the traditional butter flavor and, if you didn’t already know this was a dairy free sauce, you probably wouldn’t even guess that the regular butter was missing.

If you are looking for a wonderful Vegan Buffalo sauce for some cauliflower bites then this is the sauce for you.

Even if you are not looking for a Vegan sauce, this Buffalo sauce is extremely tasty and will go great on your wings.

Costco Value

This product is seasonally carried by Costco and comes in a two pack of 16.5 ounce bottles.  Costco sells this sauce for $9.99 which works out to a cost of $0.30 per ounce.

I bought the 8.5 ounce bottle of this sauce at Albertsons for $5.49 which works out to a cost of $0.645 per ounce.

This means that you can save $0.345 (53%) when you buy the two pack of larger bottles at Costco.
