Cooking Instructions
Three sets of cooking instructions are provided for the mini quiche:
- Oven
- Microwave
- Air Fryer
Although there are instructions provided for microwave cooking, one minute on High, I do not recommend the technique as it does not produce a nice crust.
Oven Heating
- Remove the quiche from its plastic wrapper
- Preheat your oven to 400F
- Bake the quiche at 400F for 12-14 minutes until an internal temperature of 165F is reached.
Air Fryer
We decided to cook these in the air fryer.
The instructions said to cook at 300F for 9 to 11 minutes. I set the timer for 10 minutes but the quiche had only reached an internal temperature of 125F so I cooked them for another four minutes to get them to 165F.
The quiche came out with a wonderful crust and were delightfully browned on top.
Taste Test!
First and foremost, these quiche are all about the crust with the filling being an afterthought. The crust is crunchy, rich, buttery and delicious. The crusts cracked and crumbled on us a little and I had to act fast to pick up any pieces before my daughter snatched them up.
The mini quiche have a stronger egg flavor profile than the full sized quiche from La Terra Fina which comes from using whole eggs instead of just egg whites.
The Three Cheese flavor was our hands down favorite as the combination of cheddar, mozzarella and feta strongly complimented the egg and crust. The Florentine quiche were fine but the spinach just wasn’t as tasty as the cheese option.
The quiche have a diameter of about 1.5 inches and are a tasty two bite snack.
These would be easy to make and serve as a holiday appetizer/snack.
Costco Value
I bought the 72 pack of mini quiche at Costco for $11.49, marked down from a regular price of $15.49. At regular price this works out to a cost of $0.215 per quiche.
There is a similar product at Walmart, a 32 pack of petite quiche from Nancy’s, that costs $7.98. This works out to a cost of $0.249 per quiche.
This means that you will save $0.034 (14%) when you purchase the mini quiche at Costco. This isn’t a massive bargain but still ooks liek a tasty deal to me!
Hi Dave, I live in northern Virginia, and it’s been about a month since I’ve seen the quiches at Costco.
I tried contacting Cuisine Adventures, but they haven’t responded
Maybe it’s just a Virginia thing? Let me know what you think
I think that is just a Virginia thing. I saw these at my store a few days ago.
They’re here in California.
I’d love to know where and in what store in California. I haven’t seen them in my Woodland Hills Costco for a very long time.
My local Costco no longer carries them in Minnesota.
Anyone know if Costco in Kansas City carries quiche…haven’t been able to find them.
I’ve looked in suburban Chicago and I cannot find them for the last 6 months.
Where are they?? In PA?? now?? (Lancster County, PA 17601, 17602, ??
