From the Refrigerated Coolers
This is a bit of a random selection but these products have every reason to be on this list of Costco goodies!
First up are the Kirkland Sous Vide Eggs Bites. These tasty snacks are easy to heat up in the air fryer and are packed with 17 grams of protein per serving.
Here is a great snack that you might not have thought of before! You can get a case of Chobani Complete Lowfat Greek Yogurt Drinks. Each 10 ounce bottle packs 20g of protein and has the added benefit of tasting great!
Another item you can sometimes find in the refrigerated coolers are the Jack Links’s Smoked Beef Links with Cheddar Cheese. These tasty treats have 10 grams of protein per serving and are fun to eat!
The Kirkland Cheese, Fruit and Nut Packs come is a case of 16 individual containers, each with 8 grams of protein. One of the nice things about these snack packs are the different flavors and textures inside which is one way to make snacking fun!
Jerky Choices From The Snack Aisles
When it comes to Protein Snacks one of the first things that came to my mind was Jerky! I was a surprised to learn that jerky, on a per serving basis, is lower in protein than most of the items on this list. That being said, nobody ever eats just one single serving of jerky!
My favorite beef jerky type snack at Costco are the Kirkland Steak Strips. The steak strips are meaty, tender, full of flavor and come with 7 grams of protein per serving.
If you are looking to try something new then check out the Golden Island Korean Barbecue Pork Jerky. The jerky is slightly sweet, has a great chew and delivers 7 grams of protein per serving.
Another different option is the whatever variety of Turkey Jerky you can find in your local Costco warehouse. Currently my warehouse is carrying the Righteous Felon brand which is pretty tasty. A benefit of turkey Jerky is that it is usually higher in protein than beef jerky. For example, this turkey jerky has 11 grams of protein per serving compared to the 7 grams in the Kirkland Steak Strips.
The absolute best high protein jerky at Costco is the Bison Jerky. Costco doesn’t always stock Bison Jerky so make sure to stock up if you spot it in your warehouse.
This Bison Jerky from Hero Jerky tastes better than beef jerky, has 11 grams of protein per serving and has less cholesterol than beef jerky. I will call that a win!
Protein Bars From Wherever Costco is Hiding Them Today!
My Costco warehouse keeps playing Hide and Seek with the protein bars so I have no idea where they might be in your warehouse!
First up are the Chef Robert Irvine’s Fit Crunch High Protein Bars. These gluten free protein bars come in a case of 18 and deliver 16 grams of protein for your snacking pleasure.
Let’s follow those up with the Kirkland Signature Chewy Protein Bars. The Kirkland protein bars are also gluten free and pack 10 grams of protein into each serving. The Kirkland Chewy bars do not have the highest amount of protein but they are, in my opinion, the tastiest!
Costco also carries a version of the Kirkland Protein bars that are super high in protein (21 grams per bar) that have a dense texture that I am not crazy about. The bars come in two flavors, Chocolate Brownie and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.
Last up are the bars from the Pure Protein brand that come in a case of 23 and has multiple flavors. The bars have 20 grams of protein and have a nice texture.
Protein Drinks Near the Checkout Lines
Every Costco I have ever been in has a selection of protein drinks and they are usually located near the checkout lines to encourage a last second impulse purchase.
My absolute FAVORITE protein drink at Costco are the chocolate shakes from Fairlife. The shakes are absolutely delicious and pack a massive 30 grams of protein into every bottle.
Sometime you can find cases of Muscle Milk at Costco. These protein shakes have 25 grams of protein per bottle and an acceptable flavor. In general, the Muscle Milk shakes are more expensive than Fairlife and not quite as good.
An interesting protein drink option at my Costco are the Orgain Plant Protein Shakes. The plant based protein drinks are gluten free and have 20 grams of protein per serving.
Last up are the Premier Protein Shakes which, like Fairlife, pack 30 grams of protein into each bottle. The most popular flavor seems to be Vanilla.
