Kirkland Breakfast Sandwich Cooking Instructions and Review

We have been loving the new Kirkland Breakfast Sandwiches the we get at Costco.  The sandwiches feature a delicious croissant along with eggs, bacon and cheese.

Cooking the sandwiches is a little tricky and I would like to share how we have been getting the best results.

Cooking Instructions

The preferred cooking instructions on the box are:

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350F.
  • Remove sandwich from plastic wrapper.
  • Open the sandwich between the egg and croissant.
  • Place both halves in the air fryer and cook for 4 to 6 minutes.
  • Let stand for 1 minute and eat.

The problem is that different brands of air fryers heat differently so you have to do some experimentation to get the best results.

Cooking Instructions for frozen sandwiches

I use a Ninja Foodi air fryer and found that cooking at 350F took too long (about 12 minutes) and cooking at 400F burnt the croissant before the egg and cheese were fully heated through.

I get the best results by heating the sandwich in the air fryer for 8 minutes at 385F and then in the microwave on High for 1 minute.  The air fryer gets the croissant perfectly crisp and flaky and the one minute in the microwave is just enough to melt the cheese  and get the egg hot.

If you try to do all of the cooking in the microwave the croissant becomes soggy and not as good.

Taste

The Kirkland breakfast sandwiches are absolutely delicious and are my favorite frozen breakfast option at Costco.

The croissant is amazing with crispy buttery layers of deliciousness.  The plentiful bacon is Applewood smoked and pairs beautifully with the egg and melted cheese.

The sandwich is the perfect size for a filling and satisfying breakfast.

Costco is famous for featuring new products and then discontinuing them and I sincerely hope this is not going to happen with these sandwiches!

These sandwiches are high in fat and cholesterol but that isn’t unexpected given that we are dealing with a buttery croissant paired with bacon, egg and cheese!

Price

The sandwiches are Item Number 1748763 and can be found in the frozen food section of the warehouse.

An eight count box currently costs $15.99 which comes out to about $2 per sandwich.  I think the price is more than fair considering the quality of the meal.

I will absolutely be buying these again!
