Trader Joe’s Fiery Chicken Curry is a frozen meal that heats up in just a few minutes and, according to the packaging, is based on an authentic Indian recipe. The dish features large chunks of chicken breasts, simmered in a fiery curry sauce, which are served over a bed of turmeric rice.
I ended up loving the chicken curry as it was able to combine amazing flavors with some serious spiciness!

Taste!
I was really worried about the spice level of this dish.
After my massive disappointment with Trader Joe’s Lamb Vindaloo I figured that this “Fiery Curry” would be just as lame.
I was happy to discover that I was wrong!
There is wonderful heat in this curry. On my first bite I wasn’t impressed but by the time I ate the last bite I had to blow my nose and my scalp was covered in sweat. That is what I expect from a fiery curry!
This dish does not light you up and leave you numb but it does has just enough spice to smack you around a little.
There is more to this curry than just heat though. There are plenty of visible onions and spices. The other flavors are bright and compliment the heat well.
My only complaint about the dish was that the pieces of chicken breast were a little tough.
For those of you keeping score, this meal was not as good as Trader Joe’s Chicken Tikka Masala or Yellow Tadka Dal but is as good or better than the Madras Lentils.
This meal only cost $3.79 and was worth every penny. I will absolutely buy this again.
