Ingredients
  

  • 4 Beef Tenderloin Steaks 1/2 pound each
  • 4 tbsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Peanut Oil
  • 3 tsp Black Pepper
  • 3 tbsp Melted Butter

Equipment

  • 1 Cast Iron Skillet

Method
 

  1. Season the steaks with salt only.
  2. Let the steaks rest at room temperature for one hour.
  3. Heat a cast iron pan over high heat.
  4. Add 2 tablespoon of oil (peanut or canola).
  5. Place the steaks in the pan and sear for 1 minute.
  6. Flip the steaks over and sear the other side for 1 minute.
  7. Continue to flip the steaks every minute until an internal temperature of 130-135F is reached. This will take about 12 minutes.
  8. Remove the steak from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes.
  9. Baste the steak with melted butter and season with black pepper.
  10. Serve with sides of choice
