Costco is selling the Weber Genesis C-335E in the warehouse and I wanted to share a few thoughts and observations about the grill just is case you are thinking about making the purchase.

Is the Genesis C335E a Good Grill?
Before getting into the specifics of the Weber Genesis C-335E Gas Grill at Costco, it’s worth understanding why the Genesis line has built such a strong reputation over the years. These are the grills people buy once and use for a decade or more—and there are some very specific reasons why.
Even Heat That You Can Actually Trust
One of the standout features of a Genesis grill is consistent, even heat across the cooking surface.
With cheaper grills, you’re constantly chasing hot spots—moving food around, rotating pieces, and hoping everything finishes at the same time. The Genesis is designed so you don’t have to do that.
You can:
- Cook across the entire grate without babysitting
- Run multiple foods at once with confidence
- Trust that the temperature you set is the temperature you get
That consistency alone makes grilling a lot more enjoyable.

Advanced Burner System (PureBlu Technology)
At the core of that performance is Weber’s PureBlu burner system, which is a major upgrade over traditional gas grill burners.
Instead of just blasting heat into the middle of the grill, these burners are engineered for full-length, even flame distribution:
- Tapered burner tubes help maintain consistent gas flow from front to back
- Precisely spaced flame ports create a uniform flame pattern
- Heat is distributed evenly across the entire cookbox
It’s a subtle change in design, but it has a big impact when you’re cooking—especially on larger grills where uneven heat is usually a problem.

A Layered System That Controls Flare-Ups
The Genesis doesn’t rely on a single feature to manage heat and grease—it uses a multi-layer system that works together:
- PureBlu burners provide steady, even heat
- Flavorizer bars sit above the burners to catch and vaporize drippings for flavor
- Stainless steel heat deflectors below the burners help regulate airflow and protect the firebox
Those lower deflectors don’t get talked about much, but they play an important role. They help stabilize temperatures and reduce the chances of grease turning into a flare-up underneath the burners.
The end result is a grill that still gives you that classic flame-cooked flavor—just without the constant fire drills.
Built Like a Long-Term Investment
Another thing you notice immediately is how solid these grills feel.
- Heavier materials that hold heat better
- A lid that actually feels substantial when you lift it
- A frame that doesn’t wobble or flex
This is not a disposable grill. It’s built to stay on your patio for years.
A Warranty That Backs It Up
Weber doesn’t just rely on reputation—they back the Genesis line with a strong warranty and widely available replacement parts.
That matters because:
- You’re covered if something fails
- Parts are easy to find years down the road
- You’re not stuck replacing the entire grill over one worn-out component

The Bottom Line
A lot of grills can cook food. The Genesis stands out because it makes grilling predictable, consistent, and low-stress.
You’re not fighting uneven heat.
You’re not dealing with constant flare-ups.
You’re not replacing parts every season.
It just works—and that’s what makes it one of the most reliable grills you’ll find at Costco or anywhere else.
How is the Genesis C335E Different from the Genesis 335E?
The Genesis C-335E is a Costco exclusive but it is extremely similar to the Genesis 335E that Weber sells on Amazon and their website. I spent a few hours exploring both models and was only able to spot three differences and they are all cosmetic.
- Difference #1: The C-335E has a curved stainless steel handle while the 335-E has a straight handle.
- Difference #2: The C-335E has more thermoplastic on the side tables while the 335E has more stainless steel.
- Difference #3: The C-335E does NOT have extra storage space beside the lower cabinet. The 335E does have extra storage space in what Weber calls a “Grill Locker”.
Both grills are functionally identical with three primary burners, a Sear Station burner and a side burner.

How Much Do You Save Buying a Genesis at Costco?
Prices are changing all the time so there is no point giving exact numbers but, in general, you will be saving about $350 when you buy this grill at Costco.
The savings come from two items.
The first is that the C-335E will always cost about $250 less than the 335E.
The second is that Costco throws in a grill cover that would cost $100 if you bought it from Weber.
