Flavor Packed Chana Masala From Saffron Road

Small chickpeas are simmered in a flavor packed sauce.  The Chana Masala is extremely easy to prepare, tastes delicious and is a filling meal.

I ate this for breakfast before a 5 mile hike in the woods and it provided plenty of energy to get me through the hike.

I tried the Saffron Road Chana Masala and am delighted to report that the product made me extremely happy!

This dish consists of small chickpeas that have been simmered in a creamy, flavor packed onion and tomato sauce.

The package consists of two servings but, hey, come on….we both know that I am going to eat the whole thing by myself!  This is an extremely satisfying and incredibly filling meal.

Heating and Serving

You can heat the chickpeas by tearing open the top of the package and heating in a microwave for 60 seconds (as the package directs) or for 90 seconds (which works better for me).

I simply pour the chickpeas into a bowl and dig in.

If you wanted to make this a larger meal for two people then it would be excellent served over rice with some naan bread.
