  • Healthy

Amy’s Organic Margherita Pizza has bright, fresh tomato and basil flavors paired with a thin, crispy crust.

This is a great little pizza with an emphasis on little.  If you need to feed more than two people you might want to buy a second pizza.

Delightful Thin and Crunchy Crust

Not Big Enough for a Family of Four.

Amy’s Organic has a Margherita Pizza that I wanted to try.  I haven’t had much pizza in the past couple of months and every now and then you just get a craving!

I am trying to eat healthier and I figured going with an organic, vegetarian pizza would be a step in the right direction.

Margherita Pizza Nutrition, Ingredients and Labelling

Let’s take a closer look at what comes in this 13 ounce pizza.

Nutrition Facts

A serving of this pizza is 1/3 of the pie.  This is a little confusing as pizzas are usually cut into eight pieces meaning a serving is 2.64 slices.  Who in the heck is going to eat 0.64 of a slice of pizza?  I know that I would finish that third slice!

The nutrition facts for a single serving are:

  • Calories: 270
  • Fat: 12g (15% DV)
  • Cholesterol: 25mg (8% DV)
  • Sodium: 540mg (23% DV)
  • Carbohydrates: 31g (11% DV)
  • Protein: 10g

The pizza looks relatively healthy as long as you stick to your allocated 2.64 slices and, notably, has significantly les sodium than Amy’s Organic Chunky Vegetable Soup.

  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Basil
  • Honey
  • Salt
  • Safflower oil
  • Garlic
  • Cane sugar
  • Yeast
  • Spices
  • Spinach
  • Onions
  • Celery
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

All of the ingredients are labeled as Organic.

Additionally, the company website lists the soup as:

  • Soy free
  • Tree nut free
  • Kosher

How to Cook the Pizza

The packaging says to remove the plastic wrapper and bake in a 450F oven for 9 minutes until the crust starts to brown.

I switched my Ninja Foodi air fryer over over to “Bake” mode and set it to 450F.  It took closer to 16 minutes for the pizza to fully cook but I was please with how the Ninja Foodie performed as a traditional oven!

How Does Amy’s Kitchen Margherita Pizza Taste?

The pizza turned out beautiful and I was very pleased with both the flavor of the toppings and the texture of the crust.

Margherita Pizza Ready to Eat

The tomato sauce and basil tasted brighter and fresher than I expected from a frozen pizza and there was plenty of mozzarella cheese.  The thin crust was nicely browned and had a pleasing crunch.

Given the mixed results that I have had with Amy’s Organic products I was hesitant going into this review but pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pizza.

I am not going to say that this is my absolute favorite frozen pizza but I will say that it is pretty tasty and I think you will enjoy it.

My only complaint is that this pizza is really only large enough to feed two hungry people.  If you want to feed a family of four then you better buy two.

Other Reviews from Target Customers

Let’s take a look at what other customers think about this pizza.

When I checked out the reviews for this pizza on Target’s website I saw that there were just a few number of reviews (6 as of October, 2021) and 100% of them were 5 Stars.

Target Customer Reviews of Amys Margherita Pizza

Some of the positive comments reviewers left include:

  • This is our go-to frozen pizza now, we buy this one and the regular cheese one pretty regularly.
  • Amazing! The best! We would rather have this then go out!
  • This is the best frozen pizza I have ever had hands down. I am not kidding when I say that you will not be able to discern the difference between Amy’s frozen pizza and one that is freshly made in a pizza oven at an Italian restaurant.

In general it looks like most people enjoy this pizza but I do wish there were more reviews from which to draw a more conclusive picture.
