Recipe Ideas for Aidells Chicken Apple Sausage

These are sweet sausages, although not as sweet as Aidells Chicken Meatballs with Pineapple and Teriyaki, so keep that in mind as you plan how to serve these.

Here are some of the interesting recipes/serving ideas I found on some Facebook groups:

“I like to cut them in chunks and put them on a baking sheet with onions, bell peppers, and potatoes. Toss with a little olive oil, s & p and minced garlic. Bake at 375 for 20-ish minutes.”

“I just put them in the air fryer & eat them with left over veggies. Or put them on the grill with my kids hot dogs.”Ā

“You can bbq them, it changes the flavor adds a smokiness. You can cut them up and throw them in scrambled eggs. I do sausage (fry them up) and peppers over a bed of rice.”

“SautĆ© with onions, bell peppers, garlic and crushed tomatoes”

“Try pasta with pesto and add these sausages sliced up and browned with Parmesan on top.”

“Fry with pineapple slices, create a syrup you can add some stir fry veggies with it. Alongside rice.”

“We fry them with onions and apples and eat them with mashed potatoes.”

“They are great grilled & served with kraut or cabbage. Also good chunked up in egg bites or any egg casserole.”

“Our kids love these with egg noodles and butter.”Ā

“My family loves these on hoagie rolls with sautĆ©ed onions and peppers.”

The general trend I was seeing was people liking to cook the sausages with onions and peppers as a way to tame out the sweetness so that is what I would suggest šŸ™‚
